Manual Rewind Reels
Two types of manual reels are available:
Direct Crank:
Hose is wound on to the drum via a crank handle attached directly to the centre of the reeling drum. One turn of the handle produces one turn of the hose reel drum.
Bevel Geared Crank:
Hose is normally wound on to the drum via a crank handle attached at the front of the reel through a gearing system allowing hose to wound more easily than direct crank units.
Manual rewind reels are designed for longer lengths of hose and are available for larger internal diameter hose. Note: The direct drive type of reel can become impractical to use when the length and size of hose becomes too heavy to manually rewind on to the reeling drum. Here the gear driven type may be the solution, but it should be taken into account when specifying your reel.
